Welcome,
Erika Shibasaki, currently 17 years old, has been drawing and painting ever since she was able to hold a pencil. In the past three to four years, she has commited much of her time to drawing still lifes and people. She has experimented with many mediums; water color, acrylic, colored pencil, charcoal, soft pastel, oil pastel, gouache, and recently oil paints.
Around March of 2009 she began to attend Painting classes in an Art Studio with her teacher, Rhonda Myers. Since March, Erika has been painting with Oil paints. Erika uses the Verdaccio style which is a technique that has been used by the artistic masters such as Michelangelo and Da Vinci. Verdaccio is a green-gray underpainting.
In February of 2010, she was accepted to Rhode Island School of Design, which is one of the Top 10 art schools in the world. Due to the high expenses she is also in search of investors who are interested in her works. There is more information under the personal information tab.
Artwork make great gifts whether they are for family or friends. Therefore, Erika sells her drawings and paintings. If you are interested, you can send her a picture and she will paint/draw it. The price will depend on the size of the canvas.
